Trade Off

As August rolled around, I was hoping to capture several shooting stars from Grand Marais during the annual Perseids meteor shower. But when the aurora flared up, it was off to Grand Portage and High Falls.
It's not easy to catch a shooting star. At High Falls, most of my shots only caught the aurora. I suppose you could consider that a failure, but it's not a bad tradeoff!
