On yet another promising night, I setup near a canoe launch and waited for darkness to come. It only took a few test shots before my camera started picking up the oncoming show.
It took another 30 minutes before the aurora broke out in all of its glory. But the setting sun, fading twilight, and building aurora all combined to create a unique balance of color.
