Leo Rising
Leo rises over the Tombolo on 9/27/2024 at 5:59am
This was a failed attempt to capture Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS in the pre-dawn sky. Turns out it just wasn’t meant to be. Minnesota was too far North to see the comet before sunrise, though it did make an appearance after sunset a few weeks later.
What I did catch was a faint Leo rising above the Tombolo, highlighted by the waning moon. Just another peaceful morning along the North Shore.
