Aurora Star Trails along Temperance River on 9/1/2025 from 9:25 - 9:48pm
On Labor Day, I made the long drive up from Minneapolis in search of the Aurora. Settling in along the Temperance River, the Aurora did show up, but the lower half of the aurora arc was obscured by the foreground.
After taking a few still shots, I switched over to "Star Trail" mode, hoping the Aurora would eventually flare up to the forecasted G3 storm. The Aurora never reached G3, so I was left with 40 shots (about 20 minutes) of images to stack into star trails.
I've been waiting all Summer for a chance to shoot star trails, and this shot made the trip up North worth it!
