Shooting the aurora while driving along the Sun Road, I thought I was done once I reached the gate at East Glacier. I turned around and started the drive back West, only to find that another substorm had arrived.
With the aurora building on the Southern horizon, I kept shooting as the spectacular views unfolded around me. I kept thinking "that's it, I'm done!" only to be unpacking my camera at the next overlook. At one point, I spent several minutes walking down the middle of the Sun Road, staring in awe as the aurora blazed on.
